Breaking Ground on The Hikers

After so many years of theorizing and thinking about this project, I am finally onto building it. The only downside is that I am spending even more time in front of screens, as it sits on top of my work at Netsite. But hopefully, in the future, it balances out.

Progress has been quite good, using Svelte and SvelteKit. The art style and color theme is there, a lot of functionality is there, and although my aim is to use the platform to plan an autumn hike this year, progress is sometimes fast, at other times slow. However, I am keen to have other people come in and put it through its paces.

My preference is not to talk too much, but to build. So, I'll keep this post short and sweet, but I wanted the website to expand and be ready to host more information as the project progresses.
