The Hikers

Here we imagine all the people using The Hikers, in whatever gear they were wearing on the day of the photo. Everyone who has drawn themselves stands here: as their drawing if they chose to show it, as a shape of it if they did not. No names, no links.

The mission is to create an authentic internet platform that can stand the test of times (avoid enshittification), and be used by generations. Where you are recognized not just as mere user, but a member.

18 years as a generalist in internet infrastructure: direct customer support, designing webshops, building control panels. Small-medium business, every hat.

Self-described offline hiking, distances, and remote places enthusiast. Went on his first hike in 2013 and discovered something in "type 2 fun", that would come to define his adult personality. Likes hiking with friends best. It's like playing a co-op game, but with something tangible on the line. The idea for The Hikers came on hundreds of hour-long walks with his sleeping son in the stroller.
